Thais's Erwitt Unity

 

I was very inspired by Erwitt's photographs and used my siblings and my dog to make these photos. The first picture is of my little sister, Gwendolyn, playing with the playing with the plants in my front yard's garden. The second photo is of Gwendolyn looking through the blinds. I like the lines and shapes of the blinds and curtain. The last picture is of my sisters Gwendolyn and Brooke, and my dog Charger on the patterned carpet. One thing I noticed from Erwitt's photos is that there is always something appealing about the backgrounds of them. I tried to do the same in my pictures and play with the lighting because he works in black on white. I am really proud of these pictures and hope the have the "Erwitt" feel to them.
